Founded in 1996, West Paw has been family-owned and operated from Bozeman, Montana. Its products can be found in more than 6,000 retailers in 40 different countries. Known as a company that sustainably manufactures eco-friendly pet products, West Paw has recycled almost 150,000 pounds of award-winning dog toys, spun over 16 million water bottles into dog beds and toy stuffing, and innovated a toy line, Seaflex, which reclaims ocean-bound plastic.
West Paw accepts its own Zogoflex and Seaflex toys by mail as part of its Join the Loop recycling program, which saw the brand recycle over 102,000 pounds of material into Zogoflex and Seaflex toys in 2023. And earlier this year, PetSmart became the first national retailer to pilot a West Paw dog toy takeback program in more than 75 of its stores. Collection boxes inside PetSmart stores facilitate the dog toy return to West Paw. In addition to expanding West Paw’s takeback capacity to include other brands, the partnership with PetSmart eliminates the added waste and emissions associated with mailing the toys in.
