ZIWI Peak Steam & Dried: NZ Pet Food Manufacturer Releases New Range of Ultra-Premium Foods

New Zealand-based premium pet food manufacturer ZIWI is rolling out a new range in the ultra-premium category, featuring raw, ethically sourced animal proteins, functional ingredients and new technologies.

New ZIWI Peak Steam & Dried, developed by ZIWI’s innovation team, includes new products for both dogs and cats, available in a multitude of recipes and sizes.

Suse Cassidy, GM of marketing and innovation at ZIWI said that “the new range has all of the qualities and credentials that ZIWI has built its brand on including ethically sourced raw meat and wild-caught seafood, all from New Zealand. Gentle processing methods preserve the nutritional integrity of the ingredients, [including the] addition of functional ingredients – fruit and or vegetables for dogs to support digestion and gut health, and wild-caught fish for cats, rich in Omega-3 for skin health and a shiny coat, all of which are concerns for pet parents.”

In keeping with ZIWI’s core philosophy of pure origins, peak ingredients, and peak processing, ZIWI Peak Steam & Dried employs an innovative two-step process known as Z-MicroSteam. This process aims to maintain the ingredients’ natural essence by delicately micro-steaming them, followed by air-drying to seal in nutrients.

ZIWI Peak Steam & Dried comes in three pack sizes and three recipes for dogs, and two pack sizes and three recipes for cats.

For dogs, the range includes Cage-free Chicken with Orchard Fruits, Grass-fed Lamb with Green Vegetables, and Grass-fed Beef with Pumpkin. These recipes contain 85 percent premium animal ingredients, along with fruits and vegetables for added fiber and chicory root for natural prebiotic support.

For cats, options include Cage-free Chicken with Whole Mackerel, Grass-fed Beef with Southern Blue Whiting, and Wild South Pacific Fish. These recipes boast 87-90 percent premium animal ingredients sourced from New Zealand waters, providing Omega-3 fatty acids for skin health and a glossy coat.

ZIWI Peak Steam & Dried is nutritionally complete and can be fed as a full meal or used as a nutrient-rich base, either alone or mixed with ZIWI Peak Air-dried or canned wet food for added variety. It will be available to order starting this month, and can be obtained through retailers’ regular channels.
