CityVet, a community of veterinarian-owned practices, will open CityVet Saratoga Springs on July 27 at 347 East Crossroads Boulevard in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
The clinic will be owned and operated by local veterinarian Dr. Jon McCormick, who is bringing 28 years of experience and a lifelong passion for caring for animals to one of Utah’s fastest-growing communities.
CityVet Saratoga Springs will offer a full range of veterinary services, including wellness care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and integrative treatment options. Dr. McCormick has advanced training in acupuncture, chiropractic care, laser therapy, and veterinary orthopedic manipulation, allowing him to incorporate additional tools that support mobility, comfort, and quality of life for pets.
For Dr. McCormick, the opening represents more than a new clinic. It marks the realization of a goal he has worked toward since moving to Utah more than a decade ago. After spending the last 12 years building relationships with pet owners throughout the region, Dr. McCormick is opening a practice centered on trust, accessibility, and treating every patient as if they were his own.
“I’ve wanted to build a clinic like this since the day I moved to Utah,” said Dr. McCormick. “My goal is simple: provide exceptional medicine, build lasting relationships with families, and create a place where people know their pets will be treated like members of our own family.”
A graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, Dr. McCormick earned his veterinary degree in 1998 and has practiced veterinary medicine for 28 years. His career has included equine-exclusive practice, more than two decades in mixed animal medicine, and, since 2020, a focus on companion animal care.
Throughout his career, Dr. McCormick has believed that the best veterinary care starts with listening, building trust, and helping pet owners navigate every stage of their animal’s life with compassion and honesty.
“I know how emotional veterinary medicine can be because I’ve experienced those moments as a pet owner myself,” he said. “Whether it’s a routine visit or a difficult conversation, I want clients to know they’re not facing those decisions alone.”
Beyond patient care, Dr. McCormick is passionate about supporting the next generation of veterinary professionals. During his years in Utah, he has mentored students ranging from junior high and high school through college and veterinary school and looks forward to continuing those efforts as the clinic becomes part of the Saratoga Springs community.
“Saratoga Springs is growing quickly, but it still has a strong sense of community,” said Dr. McCormick. “I’m excited to become part of that, get to know local families, and create a clinic that people feel connected to for years to come.”
CityVet Saratoga Springs is the first CityVet location in Utah and reflects the company’s veterinarian-led ownership model, which allows doctors to own and lead their practices while receiving operational support.
“Every CityVet clinic reflects the veterinarian who leads it, and Dr. McCormick has spent years preparing for this opportunity,” said David Boguslawski, President and CEO of CityVet. “His commitment to patient care, mentorship, and the community around him embodies exactly what our model is designed to support. We’re excited to see him bring his vision to life in Saratoga Springs.”
