CityVeta community of locally owned veterinary practices, will open CityVet Verrado on June 15 in Buckeye, Arizona.

The clinic will be owned and led by local veterinarian Dr. Amy Jager. With 10 years of veterinary experience and personal ties to the West Valley, Dr. Jager is opening the clinic to bring high-quality care, strong client support, and a more personal veterinary experience to families in the growing Verrado community.

Located at 1545 N Verrado Way in Buckeye, Arizona, CityVet Verrado will offer a full range of services, including preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, dermatology, senior pet care, and mobility support. Guided by Dr. Jager’s special interests in comfort-focused and rehabilitation therapies, chronic skin issues, and feline medicine, the clinic will bring a more integrative, individualized experience to pets with a wide range of needs.

Dr. Jager believes strong veterinary medicine starts with honesty, accessibility, and compassion, especially during emotional or high-stress moments. Her goal is to make sure families feel informed, supported, and confident in the decisions they make for their pets.

“When you walk into our clinic during a stressful time, I want you to know one thing: you are in a judgment-free zone,” said Dr. Jager. “Whether you are frustrated, grieving, or uncertain, my team and I are here to support you not just with medical expertise, but with genuine compassion. Your pet is our priority, and your peace of mind is our promise.”

For Dr. Jager, that level of compassion comes from a place of real experience. She earned her veterinary degree from Ross University in St. Kitts and Nevis, but her connection to animals began long before veterinary school on her family’s horse farm, where she grew up caring for animals ranging from horses and goats to rabbits and snakes.

She often reflects on a close call from childhood, when her horse’s instinct saved her from a dangerous fall. That moment taught her early on that animals have an incredible capacity for communication if you know how to listen. That understanding continues to guide her, whether she is recognizing a subtle sign of pain in a senior dog or helping calm a nervous cat.

“As we open our sixth CityVet location in Arizona, we are continuing to learn what communities here value most in ,” said David Boguslawski, President and CEO of CityVet. “In Verrado, that means a clinic that feels personal, a veterinarian who families can trust, and a team that truly listens. That is what stands out about Dr. Jager and why she is such a meaningful fit for this community.”
