Greg McDaniels has been promoted to senior director of national accounts in the Pet Specialty, Retail and Omnichannel Business Unit at Royal Canin North America, a division of Mars, Incorporated. McDaniels, who joined Royal Canin in 2015, brings experience from both specialty retail and veterinary sectors. His leadership style, influenced by his parents’ example of resilience and adaptability, has fostered a highly engaged team.

Jason Taylor, the current GM for Pet Specialty Retail and Omnichannel at Royal Canin North America, said that McDaniels would bring a great deal of rich experience to the position.

“Greg is the perfect fit for this role. His deep experiences across the business have helped him prepare for this new challenge – serving some of our top customers to help feed more cats and dogs across North America…I am confident he will continue focusing on the development of his team while helping achieve business objectives and creating a Better World for Pets,” Taylor remarked.

In his new position, McDaniels will oversee a team of 10 Associates and develop customer-centric strategies aimed at setting Royal Canin apart in the marketplace. His background includes over a decade at PepsiCo before transitioning to Royal Canin, a move that he says was driven by his passion for animal welfare and desire to be a trusted advisor to partners.

McDaniels, a University of Kansas graduate with a degree in communication studies, resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife, Melanie, their daughter, Maelyn, and their Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy, Ozark.
