The Farmer’s Dog, Jess Pegula Partner to Help More Rescue Dogs Change Lives

The Farmer’s Dog, a leader in real, human-grade dog food, has announced a new partnership with No. 1 U.S. women’s tennis player Jess Pegula, united by a shared belief that every dog deserves the chance to live a long, healthy life. Together, they’ll support A Lending Paw Foundation, helping rescue dogs receive the care, nutrition, and training they need before becoming service animals for people who need them most.

For Pegula, the mission is deeply personal. A lifelong dog lover and owner of three rescue dogs — Maddie, Des, and Mabel — she knows firsthand how a second chance can change a dog’s life, and how dogs, in turn, can completely change ours. Beyond the court, she’s the co-founder of A Lending Paw Foundation, which helps rescue dogs become highly trained service animals for people in need.

As part of the multi-year partnership, The Farmer’s Dog will provide its fresh meals to dogs in A Lending Paw’s care while supporting fundraising efforts that help rescue, rehabilitate, train, and place the next generation of service dogs who will go on to transform lives.

“My dogs are family, so giving them the best care possible has always been incredibly important to me,” said Pegula. “The Farmer’s Dog believes what I do—that every dog deserves real food and great care. Through A Lending Paw, we’ve seen rescue dogs completely transform someone’s world, and I’m excited that together we can help even more dogs get that opportunity.”

Pegula is The Farmer’s Dog’s first tennis partner, joining a growing roster of athletes who believe the same commitment they bring to their own health and performance should extend to the dogs they love.

Pegula will also participate in Dog Comfort Days, The Farmer’s Dog’s new community initiative that celebrates the extraordinary bond between people and dogs by bringing comfort and companionship to communities in need.
