Yesterday marked the third full day of educational seminars and the second opening day of the trade show floor. Grooming contests, demonstrations, retail sessions, and show floor talks were held throughout the day, and retailers continued to make their way through the myriad exhibitor booths. The New Product Showcase Awards were announced toward the end of the day, and the first-place winners were as follows: Bird, Volkman Seed Factory; Aquatics, Oase North America; Cat, Ello Pet Supply; Equine, HandsOn Gloves; Small Animal, Oxbow Animal Health; Grooming, Pura Naturals Pet; Miscellaneous, Best Shot Pet Products; Reptile, The Hagen Group; Dog, iFetch. After the show, the Women in the Pet Industry organization (WIPIN) hosted a reception and networking event, and attendees also had special access to SuperZoo’s Live Concert with Kenny Loggins!
