Woof Gang Bakery Holds 5th Annual Adopt-a-thon to Support Local Animal Rescues

May marks the start of Woof Gang Bakery’s fifth annual adopt-a-thon event to support animal rescue organizations in local communities. During the month-long celebration, Woof Gang Bakery stores nationwide are hosting in-store adoption events and conducting other outreach initiatives to help their local rescues.

As part of the adopt-a-thon, Woof Gang Bakery stores are partnering with local animal welfare organizations throughout the month of May to host adoption events and offer raffles and giveaways to benefit the rescues. Stores are organizing pet supply drives and donation drop boxes to collect food, treats, toys and other supplies. In some locations, pet grooming services are being donated to help pets prepare for adoption or to celebrate their placement with a forever family.

Throughout the entire year, Woof Gang Bakery strives to raise awareness for the approximately 6.5 million companion animals that enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year.

The results from last year’s adoption event had dozens of dogs and cats placed in new homes. Participating animal rescue organizations received much needed assistance, including more than a ton of pet food and thousands of dollars in monetary donations, supplies and grooming services.
