Wahl Covers Cost of Microchipping, Rabies Vaccines for 100 Dogs

Dedication to animal wellness is a top priority for the travelling Dr. Timothy Dayton, a veterinarian who makes house calls for both pet dogs and cats. That’s why, in collaboration with the Happy Tails Humane Society-Wellness Clinic, Dr. Dayton and the Pets for Life Team made a stop at the Whiteside County Animal Control facility, in Rock Falls, Illinois, to offer free rabies vaccinations, microchip clinics and personalized pet tags on Saturday, May 18, from 3 p.m. to 7 pm.

Wahl Clipper Corporation, with headquarters in Whiteside County, Illinois, says it was eager to jump on board to cover costs for the event.

“For our Wahl Professional Animal Division, it’s animals first, every time,” said Chelsea Compton, marketing and communications coordinator. “When we meet up with veterinarians, non-profits and volunteers who share that value – and they are right in our own backyard – we have to step up and be part of something great.”

Wahl’s partnership with the program covers all costs for the first 100 dogs that attend the free clinic.

The dog-only event was held outdoors and was on a first come, first serve basis for Whiteside County residents.
