Simmons Foods has announced executive leadership changes designed to accelerate growth and advance its transformation strategy across its business units.
Effective immediately, Scott Salmon, President of Simmons Pet Food, will join our Executive Leadership Team as Chief Commercial Officer. In this new role, Salmon will have responsibility for enterprise commercial strategy and standards across the business, branded portfolio strategy for Pet and Prepared Foods, and the design and rollout of market and commercial analytics across the business.
In partnership with the leadership team, Salmon will focus on advancing the company’s strategy with speed, efficiency, and a relentless customer focus.
“In our Pet business, Scott helped deliver record growth and results using innovative ideas and disciplined strategic execution,” said CEO Todd Simmons. “Scott and his team have driven improvements in customer value, operational excellence, and our own brand portfolio. Our company will benefit greatly from his leadership, strategic mindset, and ability to build high-performing, collaborative teams.”
With Salmon’s transition, Jacob Rogers, SVP of Pet Sales, is being named President of Simmons Pet Food. Drawing on his vast experience in sales and across multiple commercial functions, Jacob will continue to strengthen the company’s capabilities, product mix, and value proposition, building on the momentum already underway. He is well-suited to lead the next chapter of work to nourish and delight the pets we love.
“Jacob is an outstanding leader who made an impact as soon as he joined the company two years ago,” said Simmons. “He played a key role in building strong relationships with existing and new customers, growing our business, and providing repeatable, reliable results. Jacob has high standards of excellence and accountability that will help define our future success.”
