Pet Conscious, Canna-Pet Launch Campaign to Prevent Lost Animals on July 4

Canna-Pet, maker of hemp-based nutritional pet products, and its non-profit philanthropic arm, Pet Conscious, will be donating over $5,000 worth of product to partner rescues across the U.S. to prevent lost animals this July 4.

“July 4th is one of the busiest days of the year for animal shelters across the country, and rescue workers face an influx of scared and anxious pets who have run away,” said Samantha Wormser of Pet Conscious. “Ensuring this chaotic day is a bit more manageable for rescues and animals alike is our top priority, so donating Canna-Pet to make this a reality is a no-brainer for us.”

Partner rescues across the U.S. receiving Canna-Pet products to keep their rescue animals feeling safe and calm include Adirondack Save A Stray, Peace Love & Dog Paws Rescue and Greyt Expectations Greyhound Rescue to name a few.

“We have used Canna-Pet with many of our rescues to help with anxiety, inflammation, joint pain, stress, hair loss and more,” says Meredith Fiel, rescue coordinator for Adirondack Save A Stray. “The products have helped us beyond words, and as a non-profit with limited funds, our rescues benefit greatly from receiving these products.”

Pet Conscious has long been an avid supporter of shelters nationwide, providing free Canna-Pet product and monetary donations to animal victims of natural disasters, abuse and neglect. Since 2016, Pet Conscious has worked with hundreds of rescue organizations and donated over $1 million in money and products in an effort to build a better world for pets.

“As an adoption group, we are pleased that we can recommend a product that makes life a little easier for our adopters and their retired racers if they suffer from anxiety or pain management issues,” said Lisa Parran, treasurer and board member at Greyt Expectations Greyhound Rescue. “Several of our adopters have reported improvements with these issues using Canna-Pet products. As a company, they have been very supportive and we appreciate their generosity.”
