The Amos Family had a dream—to raise $1 million to help shelter dogs find forever homes. Now, with the help of pet industry leaders Wahl and GreaterGood.org, this dream is a reality. The Australian family of five has picked up and moved to the states, and for the next year their home will be an RV and a giant dog-shaped mobile dog washing vehicle. It’s called the Bathe to Save Tour, and its mission is to visit 150 cities in all 50 states, raise money and awareness, anbathe-to-save-wahl-shampood wash more than 25,000 dogs to get them ready for adoption.

“When it comes to adoption, first impressions are crucial,” said Anthony Amos, dad to Bella (13), Austin (12) and Aria (11). “Unfortunately, less than half of dogs entering shelters each year are getting the grooming they need so their lovable, adoptable selves can shine through. One bath at a time, our goal is to save the lives of dogs that would otherwise be euthanized.”

The Bathe to Save Tour officially kicked off in New York City on November 11 with three days of fundraising, dog washing and adoption events in conjunction with the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals. New York City is the first stop, but dog lovers from all over can support the tour by visiting BatheToSave.com/Donate where they can make a donation or see if the tour is coming to their town. Every dollar raised on the tour goes to GreaterGood.org, a charitable organization that will distribute cash grants to animal shelters across the country.

The Bathe to Save Tour is also being powered by Wahl’s All-Natural Pet Shampoos. It is Wahl’s latest commitment to support shelters nationwide and provide the necessary grooming products to transform dogs and help them find forever homes. Over the past five years, Wahl’s donations have helped pet shelters clean up more than 70,000 dogs and get them ready for adoption.
