Dechra Receives FDA Approval of Emeprev Injectable Solution for Vomiting Relief for Dogs, Cats

Dechra, a global leader in veterinary specialty care, has shared the FDA approval of Emeprev (maropitant citrate) Injectable Solution, the first FDA-approved bioequivalent injectable solution to the most widely used antiemetic for dogs and cats.¹

Indicated for the prevention and treatment of acute vomiting in dogs and the treatment of vomiting in cats, Emeprev™ sets a new standard for patient and clinic experience:

• Differentiated Preservative for Comfort: Emeprev contains benzyl alcohol, a preservative demonstrated to act as a local anesthetic and reduce pain during injection in healthy laboratory dogs.² In a study of healthy laboratory dogs, subcutaneous injection of Emeprev was significantly less painful than the pioneer drug.²
