Update: As of December 8, the hospitals have helped 4,500 pets.

Following hurricanes Irma and Maria, Banfield has two hospitals offering free care to pets in Puerto Rico. So far, the hospitals have helped more than 2,000 pets. Services include administering medication and tests for zoonotic diseases. In addition to this, The Banfield Foundation has donated $60,000 in grants and $50,000 in medication to local non-Banfield veterinarians. The company is continuing to pay its Puerto Rico-based associates—regardless of whether or not they can work.
