Tractor Supply Company, the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, and National 4-H announced that their 15-year partnership has raised more than $25 million, empowering youth in local communities through 4-H programs nationwide. To celebrate the milestone, leaders from both organizations gathered on Monday to ring the Nasdaq opening bell in New York. Thirty 4-H members and young alumni from eight states also attended the event, representing the six million youth 4-H serves each year.
“This moment represents a meaningful milestone for both Tractor Supply and 4-H,” said John Ordus, executive vice president and chief stores officer at Tractor Supply and a member of the National 4-H Council board of trustees. “For 15 years, a simple act at checkout — purchasing a Paper Clover — has created lasting opportunities for young people and strengthened communities across the country. At Tractor Supply, we believe that when we invest in young people, we invest in the communities we serve, and the impact of that commitment has been truly transformative. This milestone is only possible because of the generosity of our customers, who understand the power of opportunity and its ability to create positive change close to home. To everyone who has played a role in this journey, we offer our sincere thanks and deep appreciation.”
“With Tractor Supply, we strengthen the rural economies that power this country,” said Jill Bramble, president and CEO of National 4-H Council. “Through 4-H programs young people gain hands-on experiences from artificial intelligence and agtech to engineering and entrepreneurship. We are grateful to Tractor Supply and all the customers who donated to the winter Paper Clover campaign. Together, we’re investing in programs and building a generation that’s Beyond Ready to lead in their communities and shape the future.”
Tractor Supply and 4-H achieved the $25 million milestone during the recent winter Paper Clover fundraising campaign, which generated more than $1 million for 4-H youth. Ninety percent of all donations submitted from November 28 to December 14 directly support state and local 4-H youth, while the remaining 10% of funds support national 4-H programming.
Tractor Supply has generated additional 4-H funds through the sale of 4-H Clover snapback hats, collectible ornaments and year-round club activities at local stores. 4-H is America’s largest youth development organization, empowering millions of young people with the skills to be productive, healthy and engaged.
Since 2010, Tractor Supply has partnered with 4‑H to support its impactful, research-based programming that includes hands-on activities in the areas of agriculture, health, science and civic engagement, and the guidance to succeed in college and career. In 2024, 4-H launched the Beyond Ready initiative to help 10 million youth become ready for life and work by 2030.
As of September 27, 2025, Tractor Supply Company operated 2,364 Tractor Supply stores in 49 states and 206 Petsense by Tractor Supply stores in 23 states.
