As 2023 draws to a close, the pet care industry remains a fast-changing one that continues to experience a great deal of success. After the first two years shining the light on individual members of the pet industry, we are excited to continue the Pet Age Power 50 program with the third annual list focusing on pet product manufacturers.

The honorees that appear in this section have been influential to the success of the pet market, so much so that Pet Age is recognizing them as this year’s recipients of its 2023 Power 50 list. The criteria for selection were relatively straightforward: Identify the manufacturers that are affecting the pet care community in a positive way, whether they be trusted household names, rising brands, innovative startups or companies that oversee a family of pet brands making products that play a major role in the pet care community and the well-being of the companion animals we serve. In reviewing the state of the pet market, Pet Age examined data on the top performing pet brands along with input from pet retailers, industry experts and observers.

The list isn’t an exact science and there is no ranking – the list goes by alphabetical order. What the Power 50 list offers is a snapshot of the companies that are highly efficient and vitally important to the pet care industry. It’s an impressive roster, and we are privileged to give these companies their well-deserved recognition. The 2023 Power 50 honorees are making substantial contributions to the pet sector, wielding their power and using their leadership to foster growth in the pet care industry.

After more than eight decades in the baby products business providing wellness for babies and peace of mind for their parents, this fourth-generation, family-owned enterprise created Tall Tails to bring the same benefits to pet families and their fur babies. They are also exploring other product line expansions within the dog and other pet markets. They are currently available on retail shelves across Florida, New York and California, with more expansion in the United States to be announced.
