Atomic Bubbles, a St. Louis-based company known for its pet-safe bubbles for dogs and people, is introducing new sustainable retail packaging designed to reduce waste and extend the life of in-store displays.
The company operates its own bubble factory in Shrewsbury, Missouri, producing bubbles for pets and people, including the brand’s popular pet lines Puppy Love and Kitty Love.
The company’s new top-of-counter displays are designed with reuse in mind.
Rather than discarding packaging after a seasonal promotion, retailers can simply flip the display panels inside out to reveal a new design, allowing the same display to be used for multiple promotions throughout the year. The approach reduces excess cardboard waste while saving time for retailers who frequently update seasonal merchandising.
“Retailers are constantly being asked to refresh displays, and too often that means throwing perfectly good materials away,” said John Reider, founder of Atomic Bubbles. “We wanted to rethink that. By designing something they can reuse and simply flip for a new season, we’re cutting down on waste while also making their day-to-day operations easier. It’s a small shift that can make a meaningful impact.”
Retailers often deal with large amounts of disposable packaging tied to seasonal promotions. The reusable display concept offers a more environmentally responsible alternative while maintaining eye-catching merchandising at the point of sale.
