Philadoptables was honored with the Dogs’ Best Friend Award from the Philadelphia Kennel Club during the 2025 National ceremonies at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pennsylvania.

The award recognizes Philadoptables’ 16 years of service supporting homeless, ill and injured animals across the Greater Philadelphia region. Since its founding, the Philadelphia-based nonprofit has provided critical resources to local shelters, rescue groups, and community caretakers — including medical aid, food and supplies, TNR support and awareness initiatives for adoptable pets.

As part of the honor, Philadoptables received a $5,000 donation to further its mission. The organization credits its dedicated volunteers, supporters, and community partners for making this milestone possible.

A Celebration of Community Impact

“We are deeply grateful to be recognized with the Dogs’ Best Friend Award,” said the Philadoptables Board. “This honor belongs to our volunteers, rescue partners, and the entire community that stands behind our work. Their commitment allows us to continue helping the animals who need us most.”

About the Dogs’ Best Friend Award

The Dogs’ Best Friend Award is presented each year to an organization or individual whose work significantly improves the welfare of animals and promotes compassion throughout the region. Philadoptables’ long-standing dedication to and community support made them the 2025 recipient of this distinguished recognition.

Philadoptables is a nonprofit organization supporting animals in need throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. For over 16 years, the group has provided lifesaving assistance to shelters, rescues, and pet owners through medical funding, supply drives, TNR support, community outreach and its signature fundraiser, the “Hunks for Hounds” calendar.
