Press release: Natoo

Natoo, a company specializing in high-quality nutrition for dogs and cats, is pleased to support the Jaguar Parade NYC 2022, an open-air art exhibition that’s currently taking over the streets of New York City through October 5.

The art installation features a total of forty jaguar sculptures – six of which have been sponsored by Natoo – that were designed by global artists. Its purpose is to raise funds and awareness regarding the urgent need to conserve jaguars and their habitats.

In Brazil, the cause supported is ONÇAFARI, a nonprofit that strives to conserve biodiversity in various Brazilian biomes with an emphasis on jaguars and maned wolves. The NYC edition is supported by the United Nations, WWF, WCS and Panthera, as well as local partners such as World Trade Center, Central Park and 9/11 Memorial.

“ONÇAFARI is an organization that we hold near and dear to our hearts thanks to their tireless preservation work,” commented Fernando Maluf, VP of international sales. “Most recently, our efforts have raised over $100,000 to support them and their latest rewild effort, in which they helped set free domesticated jaguars knowing they will properly survive in the wild. We’re also proud to have raised an additional $200,000 to support the Jaguar Parade NYC, specifically.”

During the exhibition in New York, the sculptures will be available for sale through October 7 via online auction, with 100 percent of the net proceeds being donated to saving jaguars.

According to the Jaguar Parade, New York City may not be the natural habitat of the jaguar, but the Americas’ largest cat is an iconic symbol of the same attributes New York stands for: strength, beauty, freedom, and resilience. Everyone is welcome to join. Every Jaguar Parade sculpture will include both braille and printed sign descriptions, enabling rich sensory experiences and meaningful connections. The jaguar sculptures will be exhibited at Central Park Zoo, Tavern on the Green, UN Plaza, Times Square, and other iconic places in New York City.
