Nylabone, an iconic brand in the & Pet portfolio, has donated chew toys and chew treats valued at over $1 million, along with monetary contributions, to animal welfare groups in 2024. The donations were made through the Nylabone Cares program, which is committed to supporting non-profit organizations in the United States and Canada.

Throughout the year, Nylabone provided more than 100,000 durable chew toys and chew treats to over 750 organizations, including , America’s VetDogs, Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, and the ASPCA. The program is also dedicated to uplifting nonprofits in Nylabone’s home state of New Jersey and the surrounding areas, such as SCPA, Zoo, Associated Humane Societies of NJ, and Animal League.

These donations help promote healthy, non-destructive behavior so shelter animals and therapy dogs can safely satisfy their urge to chew, ease anxiety and stress, and engage in vital enrichment. On top of ongoing chew toy donations throughout the year, Nylabone supplied 1,600 enrichment toys to key organizations through the brand’s Holiday Enrichment program. These toys are essential in alleviating the stress and boredom that can affect shelter animals, particularly those awaiting long-term placement.

“Not only are we dedicated to providing safe ways for dogs to satisfy their natural instinct to chew, but we are also committed to helping dogs in need find happiness and enrichment through chewing,” said Glen S. Axelrod, President and CEO of Nylabone Products. “As pet parents ourselves, we are proud to support the shelters and rescues that work tirelessly to help dogs find loving forever homes.”

Nylabone also collaborated with several charities to fund critical projects and research initiatives. For the sixth consecutive year, they partnered with National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. to donate $1 for every custom-made pink Power Chew toy sold. For a third time, they supported the American Humane’s Military Reunification Program with a $10,000 donation, facilitating the reunion of a retired U.S. Air Force dog with their handler. Finally, in celebration of Earth Day, Nylabone sponsored the planting of 1,000 trees in collaboration with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit that has planted over 135 million trees worldwide since 2014.

To support pets and their owners in need within the local community, Nylabone organized a staff volunteer day at the Monmouth County SPCA. Employees also provided more than 1,200 meals to disadvantaged families during the holiday season with a donation of Thanksgiving turkeys to Fulfill Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

These contributions from Nylabone support the Central Impact program. Dedicated to making a difference and driving positive change, the program is focused on protecting our planet, cultivating our communities, and empowering our employees.
