Press release: Nature’s Logic

Nature’s Logic, the pioneer creators of 100% natural pet food with NO synthetic vitamins, announced its Distinction line, launched on March 20, will only be sold to independent pet specialty retailers.

“My first strategic decision as CEO is to champion independent pet specialty stores with our exclusive Distinction line,” said David Yaskulka, who joined Nature’s Logic in January. “You have my commitment: we will NEVER sell Distinction, our premier meat-first diet, outside of pet specialty and natural food stores.

Unlike most “natural” brands in the market, Nature’s Logic kibble, cans, raw food and treats are 100% natural, with NO synthetic vitamins and minerals. The nutrition comes from whole foods.

“Savvy pet parents visit independent pet specialty stores to find what is best for their pets, learning from devoted shop owners and their educated teams,” said Yaskulka. “That’s where consumers will be inspired by 100% natural, and where we want Nature’s Logic to be.”

Speaking to independent pet specialty retailers, Yaskulka asks, “Let us be your champion!”

“Whole foods can have a powerful and beneficial effect on overall pet health, especially when eaten in combination, which is why I recommend the Nature’s Logic line of pet foods, both Original and Distinction,” said Tom Cameron, DVM. Cameron’s veterinary consulting focuses on nutrition for prevention and treatment of health conditions (including for Nature’s Logic).

“Many pet parents actively seek diets with whole meat as the first ingredient. Nature’s Logic Distinction gives them a meat-first diet that is based on whole foods, and is 100% natural without synthetic vitamins. That’s hard to find in a kibble, so Distinction is a perfect choice,” said Cameron.

Natural consumers read the “accidental overdose” warning labels on popular synthetic vitamins, and go to natural specialty stores for whole food alternatives. The same thing is happening in pet, where concerned pet parents see headlines like last month’s FDA report, Vitamin D Toxicity in Dogs.

Among the synthetic vitamins and minerals consumers see in their pet foods are Vitamin D3 Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate, Niacin Supplement, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid, and Amino Acids (Taurine).

In contrast, Nature’s Logic provides nutrients from whole foods, such as vitamin D from non-GMO mushrooms and vitamin K from kale.

Nature’s Logic recently announced the brand will expand its mission, applying the logic of nature to care for pets and the planet. It will take a leadership role as a voice for sustainability in its retailers’ communities. That will leave the brand well positioned with Millennials, the largest and fastest-growing segment of pet parents, for whom natural nutrition, animal welfare and sustainability are top concerns.

Nature’s Logic is a VisioCap portfolio company.
