34th Interzoo was Largest Ever

The 34^th Interzoo was the largest in its history, with about 39,000 trade visitors from more than 90 countries learning about the latest in pet food, grooming supplies, accessories and services for pets.

The number of exhibitors was up by seven percent this year, with a total of 1,818 suppliers from 61 countries displaying their innovations and trends on over 115,000 square metres of exhibition space.

Interzoo was even more international this year, with 70 percent of visitors coming from outside Germany, the majority from Italy, France, the Netherlands, Spain, the Czech Republic and Poland. The proportion of international exhibitors was also higher this year, at 82 percent.

“Many of the professionals were amazed at the range of pet foods available and the exciting innovations in areas such as aquarium products,” said Norbert Holthenrich, president of the German Pet Trade & Industry Association (ZZF).

The next Interzoo will be held once again in Nuremberg, Germany, from May 8 to May 11, 2018.

The promoter of Interzoo is Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe GmbH (WZF), which has appointed NürnbergMesse GmbH to organize the exhibition.
