Zoo Med Laboratories recently debuted several new food items.

The Blue Tongue Skink Food Crumbles are an omnivorous blend created by a master’s nutritionist to ensure proper growth and development of blue tongue skinks. It includes Timothy, miscanthus and alfalfa grasses to add long-stem fibers, black soldier fly larvae to add animal protein and other blue tongue favorites like dandelion greens, endive, yucca and mango to add irresistible flavor and beneficial nutrients. This is a natural diet with no artificial colors, flavorings or preservatives added. It may be moistened with water or tossed in a salad with fresh fruits and vegetables as a special treat for your pet.

The TurtleMatic provides a convenient way for you to feed your pets on a consistent schedule, even when your life is not. Program feedings for 1- 4 times a day for a duration 3, 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds. It can be mounted anywhere in your tank and can rotate 360°. The food chamber keeps food fresh and includes an option to attach a Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle Pellet bottle directly to the TurtleMatic. This gives added volume and a convenient storage spot for your pet’s food. To top it all off, there’s a built-in 12-hour sleep mode to prevent waste and to give your turtles their beauty rest in-between meals.

Some arboreal lizards such as New Caledonian Geckos prefer to forage higher in their habitat. Zoo Med’s Arboreal Feeding Platform and Cup can be placed at any height in the enclosure via the included super-duty suction cup for glass, or screws for screen habitats. It comes with a removable cup, which allows for easy cleaning without having to remove the whole platform from the habitat. Approximate cup volume is 4 tablespoons.
