Press release: Zoetis

Zoetis is giving cat owners a good reason to “tick the box” for parasite prevention with the launch of Revolution Plus (selamectin and sarolaner topical solution), a new topical product providing 6-in-1 pest protection against parasites common to cats and kittens of every lifestyle (indoor-only, indoor/outdoor, and outdoor-only). This new pest preventative is the only product that combines protection against fleas, three types of ticks, ear mites, roundworms, hookworms and heartworms. It is approved for cats and kittens as young as eight weeks of age and weighing 2.8 pounds or greater. Cat owners seeking this wide range of protection can request Revolution Plus through their veterinarian’s office.

“Whatever a cat’s lifestyle – even if the cat prefers to spend all of its time indoors – year-round protection from parasites is an essential element to ensuring overall wellness,” said Gary Norsworthy,3 DVM, DABVP (Feline), Alamo Feline Health Center, San Antonio, Texas. “Cat owners everywhere can now rely upon the innovative Revolution Plus, which provides broad-spectrum protection with advanced flea- and tick-killing power for every cat, of every lifestyle, every month.”

Revolution Plus is a simple-to-apply, quick-drying, small-volume, monthly topical solution with unique dual action against fleas and ear mites. It kills fleas before they can lay eggs and kills ticks for a full month.

“It’s important that every cat owner provides their feline friends with broad-spectrum parasite protection, whether their cats and kittens live indoors-only, outdoors, or both,” said Tara Bidgood, DVM, PhD, Diplomate ACVCP, Executive Director, Veterinary Professional Services, Zoetis Petcare. “We encourage cat owners to speak with their veterinarians about Revolution Plus to address the harmful threat of feline parasites and ensure the close bonds between cats and their families are preserved.”
