ZIWI USA Grows in North America, Adds 8 New Team Members

With the growth of North American business and operations, the ZIWI team has recruited a wealth of new friendly faces to join in its mission of bringing joy and peace of mind to pets and their guardians all over the world. ZIWI would like to introduce you to each of our new employees below and tell you a little bit about them each and how they’ll be contributing towards the company’s embarkation into the year ahead.

Mindy Prince | Operations Manager

ZIWI is thrilled to have welcomed Mindy to the team this past January as operations manager. She has spent the last 20 years working in the fashion industry with distribution, logistics and product development. She is excited to be transitioned into the pet industry and welcomes the challenges and growth it will bring. Prince entered the workforce upon graduation from Kansas State.

Kathi Nichols | Key Account Manager

ZIWI welcomed Kathi to the team this January as key account manager, to strengthen the support and success of its brick and mortar retail partners. Nichols comes from 16 years of sales experience as a manufacturer rep and a key account manager and has also served as a director of development for the local Humane Society. She obtained her MBA from Saint Ambrose University.

Sydni Weis | e-Commerce Administrator

Weis came to ZIWI this January and was brought on as an e-commerce administrator. Sydni directly contributes to the management of brand integrity and MAP across ZIWI’s online sales platforms. She has a BS in marketing and event management from the University of Central Missouri and is excited to be working in this space after previously specializing in Healthcare IT, as she has a strong passion for animals and the outdoors.

Abbey Horsman | Marketing Specialist – Social

Horsman was brought on as ZIWI’s social media specialist in January this year. She comes from marketing experience in tech, construction and e-commerce. She graduated from Iowa State University with a BS in public relations. Horsman has been instrumental so far in the restructuring of our influencer programs and supplying retailers with top quality social assets and guidance.

Brendan Allen | Project and Compliance Manager

Allen joined ZIWI this past February as a project and compliance manager where he has diligently set to work on our breadth of projects and licensures. He has spent the past five years working in project, regulation and compliance management. Allen received his BS in sociology and a minor in conflict management from Baker University. He is excited to get to work on all of the upcoming ZIWI projects on the radar.

Jessica Krueger | Marketing Manager

Krueger has joined the team as of early February and is working as the marketing manager, assisting in strategy and execution across all channels and platforms. She comes from the automotive industry in Hawaii, where she also graduated from the University of Hawaii. She will be completing her MBA this summer and is excited to put her skills to the test with ZIWI.

Johlea Gewhas | Graphic Designer

Gewhas joined the team in February as an in-house graphic designer. She has been instrumental so far in whipping up print ads, display ads, social media assets and jumping on quick turn arounds and last-minute projects. She comes from over five years of freelance experience where she specializes in advertising collateral and branding assets. Gewhas has an Associates in graphic design and is currently pursuing her bachelors at Southern New Hampshire University.

Courtney Kuehn | e-Commerce Specialist

Kuehn is the most recent hire as of the end of March, and the company is thrilled to welcome her as the new e-commerce specialist. She will be working alongside the e-com team to ensure a best in class online sales presence. She is born and raised in Missouri and attended Missouri State University where she graduated with a BS in marketing.
