In celebration of the one-year anniversary of Trisha Yearwood’s animal fund, Dottie’s Yard, Yearwood raised more than $30,000 at an event to help animal shelters across the country.

Yearwood hosted the live virtual event with TalkShopLive on Wednesday, July 27th. For the first time, Yearwood released a limited edition Paw Hoodie that quickly sold out. The proceeds went directly to Dottie’s Yard to benefit 27 participating Empty the Shelters in 27 different states. Fans and animal lovers are still able to view the live event and make donations to Dottie’s Yard at TalkShopLive.

Trisha was accompanied on TalkShopLiveby her own two rescues, Emmy and Millie, and kicked off the fundraiser with some celebratory pup cups for her two furry friends.

Yearwood shared, “Our goal was $27,000 for 27 shelters, so that each shelter gets a thousand dollars, and I would love to surpass that,” which she did. The fundraiser successfully exceeded their goal.

In addition, to receiving a donation, each shelter will receive 27 leashes and 27 collars from the Trisha Yearwood Pet Collection. Also, all 27 shelters will each receive 27 five-pound bags of Trisha Yearwood Dog Food.

Yearwood’s mission is to help every dog find their forever home. As shelters never have enough essential supplies to accommodate over 6.5 million surrenders and strays surrendered annually at shelters, they always need support.

“Love one another all creatures great and small,” said Yearwood.
