Tiny Pawprints, Inc., the San Diego-based pet company behind TerraPawz, a plant-based pet nutrition brand that creates functional dog treats, donated approximately 2,300 bags of dog treats to eight rescue and animal welfare organizations across San Diego County in recognition of California Adopt-a-Pet Day.

Many of the donated treats were distributed during adoption events held throughout the weekend and sent home with families welcoming newly adopted dogs. Additional donations will continue reaching dogs in rescue care, foster programs, and adoption initiatives throughout June.

Organizations receiving donations include the San Diego Humane Society, Frosted Faces Foundation, Helen Woodward Animal Center, Rancho Coastal Humane Society, The Animal Pad, Labs and More Rescue, Baja Animal Sanctuary, and Friends of Humane Services Tijuana.

Founded by San Diego entrepreneur Danae Brooker, Tiny Pawprints was built on the belief that every dog deserves access to products that support a happy, active, and healthy life. Through its TerraPawz brand, the company produces functional, plant-based dog treats designed to support dogs’ wellness at every stage of life. Every TerraPawz recipe includes thoughtfully selected ingredients like chia, flax, and turmeric, blended into treats that dogs are genuinely excited to eat.

“Rescue organizations do incredible work giving dogs a second chance,” said Danae Brooker, founder of Tiny Pawprints, Inc. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the shelters, rescues, foster families, and adopters who help dogs find loving homes throughout our community. We hope these donations bring a little extra joy to the dogs in their care and to the families welcoming them home.”

The donation initiative also provided an opportunity for Tiny Pawprints to introduce participating organizations and adopters to LapsUp , the company’s upcoming dog hydration brand. Inspired by the simple insight that dogs lose electrolytes through panting, LapsUp is a coconut water-based drink mix designed to help replenish what panting leaves behind and offer a fresh new option for the water bowl.
