Press release: Timberline
Timberline Live Pet Foods, America’s largest feeder insect farm, is in Illinois’ 12th district, represented in the US House of Representatives by Mike
Bost.
On May 25, U.S. Rep. Bost toured the main Timberline facility in Marion, Illinois. Along with a facility tour and discussion about job creation, Timberline Live Pet Foods owner Todd Goodman discussed the negative impact that the Lacey Act amendments to the America Creating Opportunities for Manufacturing Pre-Eminence in Technology and Economic Strength (COMPETES) Act would have on the specialty pet marketplace.
Goodman is a board member and leading sponsor of both the United States Association of Reptile Keepers (USARK) and USARK Florida. USARK and Timberline strongly recommend that all businesses, hobbyists and others who love the specialty pet segment meet with their U.S. Representative to discuss the harmful effects of the Lacey Act amendments found in the America COMPETES Act.
