Three Dog Bakery Fundraiser to Provide Service Dogs for Veterans

This Veterans Day, Three Dog Bakery will honor America’s veterans with a special promotion designed to raise funds to provide service dogs for veterans. Three Dog Bakery will donate its product sales from the bakery stores on November 11 to benefit this worthy cause. Friends in Service of Heroes (FISH) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping veterans and their families maintain their freedom and improve their quality of life. They provide specially trained service dogs to help perform tasks that increase the autonomy of their human partners, including retrieving items, pushing handicap buttons to open doors and much more.

Since 2014, Three Dog Bakery has supported Friends in Service of Heroes on Veterans Day and has donated more than $60,000 to provide specially trained service dogs for veterans.

Three Dog Bakery believes donating to provide service dogs for veterans is an affirmation of the many benefits provided by living with a dog and a way for its loyal customers to support a meaningful cause. 

“We’re honored to raise funds for an organization that works daily to help our veteran heroes who need service dogs,” said Ally Homa, Three Dog Bakery director of marketing, bakery division. “This cause is near and dear to our hearts as our company is one based around the unconditional love between a pet parent and their dog, and to help provide a veteran with a specially trained service dog to assist with simple, daily tasks can be life changing.”
