The Bear & The Rat Joins Choice Pet Products Distribution Portfolio

Press release: Choice Pet

Choice Pet Products, a distributor of quality pet brands and products, is thrilled to announce they will be partnering with The Bear & The Rat, a pet treats brand that includes all-natural frozen yogurt treats and cupcake and frosting mixes, to its growing distribution portfolio offered to independent retailers in Florida.

“The Choice team is proud to partner with The Bear & The Rat, and we’re excited to welcome them as our first frozen brand in our portfolio,” said Bob Sledzinski, vice president of brand development at Choice Pet Products. “Their healthy, cool treats are a perfect match for our retail partners, who already have freezers in their stores. We look forward to our continued partnership, and we know our retail partners will be excited to offer their customers healthy treats from The Bear & The Rat that contain real ingredients.”

The Bear & The Rat was founded in 2010 by a husband-wife team, Matt and Meg Meyer, along with their two taste testers, A Lhasa Apso, who growls like a “Bear,” and his brother from another mother, a “Rat” Terrier.

“The Bear & The Rat is thrilled to partner with Choice Pet Products. They have an excellent reputation with retailers in Florida, and it is exciting to be one of their first frozen brands,” said Meg Meyer. “We are confident this is the beginning of a great partnership.”
