Splash and Dash is the only pet company to make the top 500 of the list. They were ranked 211.

“We’re in a pretty traditional industry that is unique because it is experiencing high demand for no other reason than more people have more pets now than ever, and they see them as members of their family,” said Dan Barton, founder of Splash and Dash for Dogs and pet business coach. “In order for there to be longevity, we have to start looking at how we can innovate what we are doing. When demand slows, we want to have a model in place that will allow us to continue to be profitable and assure success.”

The company plans to open 500 stores in seven key regions by 2019.

“I was inspired by the membership model that had long been used when I was working in the fitness industry,” said Barton.  “There was really nothing else like it within the pet industry, which was where my passion was.”

A Splash and Dash for Dogs franchise starts at $18,000 and is relatively low compared to other franchises in the pet industry. Anyone interested in starting a franchise can visit splashanddashfranchise.com and the site will take prospects through whether or not they would be a good fit.
