Specialty Retailer Ren’s Pets Opens in Truro, Nova Scotia

Ren’s Pets, a leading Canadian specialty retailer of pet food and supplies, has opened another store in Eastern Canada in Truro, Nova Scotia. The 5,100 square foot store is located at 140 Wade Road in the Walmart plaza and is the 44th store for Ren’s.

“It’s so wonderful to add another store to our Ren’s family in Eastern Canada,” said Scott Arsenault, CEO at Ren’s Pets. “This is our fifth store in the Maritimes, and everyone has been so warm and welcoming. We had customers in the store making purchases as soon as we opened the doors. There truly is an amazing community of passionate pet owners here, and we’re so excited to be in Truro. Despite delaying the opening for a few days due to the hurricane, this was one of our fastest builds to opening a new store.”

The new Truro store features over 8,000 products with aisles of high-quality dog and cat food, displays of treats and toys, plus a special grooming section. There are also 16 doors or 32 feet of large walk-in freezers for raw and frozen pet food. Customers can shop in store, order online for pick up at store, use local same day delivery powered by DoorDash or have their purchases shipped to home.
