Ren’s Pets celebrated the opening of its latest retail store in Newmarket, Ontario this past weekend. The Canadian specialty pet retailer’s new 5900-square-foot store is located at 17820 Yonge Street by The Home Depot and is the company’s 42nd location.

“Our Newmarket grand opening day was one of the biggest in the company’s history,” said Scott Arsenault, CEO at Ren’s Pets. “We were so lucky to have tons of pet parents and their dogs and cats come and visit our latest location. Some knew us from our close-by Aurora Ren’s store, and some were brand new customers. We’ve wanted a store in Newmarket for awhile now and are so pleased to have this location open for pet parents in this area.”

The Newmarket store features over 8,000 products with aisles of high-quality dog and cat food, displays of treats and toys, plus a special grooming section. There is 32 feet of large walk-in freezers for raw and frozen pet food. Customers can shop in store, order online for pick up at store, use same-day delivery powered by DoorDash or ship to home.

“We were thrilled with the remarkable turn out for our grand opening weekend,” said Larissa Wasyliw, vice president of e-commerce and marketing at Ren’s Pets. “We loved seeing our friends from the SPCA as well, along with the Mayor and local councilors coming out to support us. Newmarket is our fourth new store opening this spring, and we were excited to celebrate another Ren’s store opening in the GTA.”

Ren’s will also open a new store in Niagara Falls, Ontario in July and The Junction, Toronto in the fall for its second smaller concept urban city Toronto location.
