Portland Pet Food Adds Anipet for Canada Distribution

Portland Pet Food Company (PPFC), manufacturer of all-natural, human-grade meals and treats for dogs is thrilled to announce it has added Anipet Animal Supplies to its distribution network for pet specialty in Canada.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with such a great company, not only is their product amazing so is the team behind it,” said Amy Faure, Marketing Manager for Anipet Animal Supplies.

Anipet Pet Supplies has begun rolling out Portland Pet Food Company products to independent pet specialty stores they service throughout Western Canada.

“We are thrilled to expand distribution with such a partner as Anipet Animal Supplies and to grow our market internationally into Canada,” said Kathleen McCarron, Portland Pet Food Company founder and Top Dog. “We have had several loyal Canadian customers waiting for us to expand into Canada so they could buy our products at their local store. Personally, it means a lot to me as I am originally from Canada and it is fun to bring PPFC products to my homeland! Our dog Winnie is named after Winnipeg where my mother was born.”

PPFC creates Human Food for Dogs. Founded in 2014 by Portlander Kate McCarron and son Matt, the business has grown into a family affair with husband David and daughter Maggie lending their expertise as the company and staff have grown. Portland Pet Food Company currently manufactures its own Human Grade dog meal toppers and treats with future plans to expand its offerings. Five percent of net profits are donated to animal-related nonprofits. Portland Pet Food Company is a licensed pet food manufacturer that follows the recommendations of the American Association of Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). PPFC products are certified for export to Canada, Japan, China and South Korea. Portland Pet Food Company is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise and Small Emerging Business.
