Phelps Pet Doubles Production Capacity With Simmons Equipment Acquisition

Phelps Pet Products, a leading private label and branded manufacturer of clean-label meaty dog treats, has reached an agreement with Simmons Pet Food to acquire all of the pet treat production equipment from its Siloam Springs, Arkansas facility. The acquisition will more than double the production capacity at Phelps and also expand its portfolio of treat-making capabilities.

The company is targeting to start-up the new equipment/new lines in Q3 2022, including working with many of the dog treat customers previously serviced by Simmons.
