Petmate Acquires GAMMA2

Petmate has acquired GAMMA2, a manufacturer of airtight containers primarily used to store dry pet food, best known for its Vittles Vault.

GAMMA2 was founded by Curt Leland and has corporate offices in Carlsbad, California, and manufacturing plants in Gardena, California, and Sweetwater, Tennessee. Over the course of the next six months, Petmate will complete a full transition of the Carlsbad, California, corporate office and its associated intellectual property to its corporate headquarters in Arlington, Texas.   The Gardena, California, and Sweetwater, Tennessee, facilities will continue to manufacture and distribute the high-quality dry pet food storage containers.

The company launched in 1989 with the introduction of the patented GAMMA Seal Lid that creates a better airtight seal than any other pet food storage container in the market. The company’s product line currently offers a diverse slate of nearly 30 pet and food storage products for in-home, outdoor and travel.
