Press release: PetGuard

Following the debut of a completely redesigned look to their packaging, PetGuard is pleased to announce that they’ve remodeled their website to make it more cohesive and engaging, with the same modern-day nostalgic look.

The first message pet parents see when they visit the new site is “helping you guard your pet’s health and happiness since 1979”, a statement that helps evoke the all-natural, holistic, pet health focused heritage of the brand. As visitors scroll down, a blend of cutting-edge imagery and vintage graphics conveys the essence and commitment of the company. The new site also provides a more user-friendly browsing experience, providing pet parents with detailed product information, including ingredients, and making it easier for visitors to find the optimal diet and recipe for their particular dog or cat.

“We decided to update our website because we wanted to properly showcase our new packaging and introduce a new generation of pet parents to the naturally healthy benefits of PetGuard pet food,” comments Bill Shaner, managing partner and PetGuard CEO. “With the brand celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, we felt the timing was right to update our website. We wanted it to be cohesive with our new packaging designs and it was important that we provide pet parents with all the necessary information needed to make an informed purchase.”

PetGuard also announces that their products will be available in Canada now that they’ve teamed up with two highly regarded distributors.

Can-Pet will be PetGuard’s distribution partner in Eastern Canada. The well-established firm serves independent pet stores throughout Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime provinces. Over the last 40 years, Can-Pet has developed mutually respected long-term relationships with both their customers and vendors as business partners working together toward a shared success. According to PetGuard management, these new partnerships mean that retailers will find it easier than ever to offer customers this highly acclaimed line of super premium, grain-inclusive foods.Bianca Tabone Headshot_RGB

Trueman Distribution Ltd. (TDL) will be responsible for bringing the company’s products to Western Canada. For over 20 years, TDL has distributed pet foods, litters, seed products, treats and supplies to the pet specialty market. They are highly regarded in the industry for their outstanding service levels and reputation for treating all customers with respect, honesty and integrity.

In related news, the company recently hired Bianca Tabone as the Canadian sales manager. In addition to collaborating with Can-Pet and TDL sales and service associates, Tabone will be responsible for conducting training sessions, building rewarding customer relationships and introducing thousands of Canadian pet owners to the PetGuard brand. Prior to joining PetGuard, Tabone was territory sales manager – Ontario & Montreal at Bold Canine.

“These past few months have been very exciting for PetGuard, as we recently debuted our refreshed packaging,” comments Tim Siedlaczek, director of Sales at PetGuard. “The timing couldn’t be better for us to join forces with Can-Pet and TDL, and to welcome Bianca to our team. We look forward to further expanding our footprint and making a splash in the Canadian market.”
