Press release: Pet Honesty

Pet Honesty, a leading natural, premium pet health supplements brand, recently announced that its fan favorite dog supplements are now available at over 1,500 Petco locations nationwide and at Petco.com through an exclusive national pet retail partnership with Petco Health and Wellness Company. As a special introductory offer, all Pet Honesty dog supplements are 25 percent off at Petco throughout the month of September in-stores only.

“Over the last four years, Pet Honesty has built a loyal and growing online following of health-conscious pet parents who seek products made with natural ingredients,” said Richard Greenberg, CEO of Pet Honesty. “We are on a mission to help pet parents elevate their pet’s vitality for more joyful moments together and thrilled to advance this cause by providing our most popular pet supplements at trusted Petco stores nationwide.”

Pet Honesty continues to expand its availability and leadership in helping pet parents support their four-legged family members’ health through pet supplements made with sought-after natural and premium ingredients in a soft chew form and a variety of delicious tastes loved by 98 percent of dogs. Pet Honesty starts with a proactive approach to health with its leading Multivitamin 10-in-1, which is formulated to support adult dogs’ overall health everyday through a variety of supplements and vitamins they don’t typically get in food alone. Pet Honesty also offers a full range of pet supplements that are formulated to support key functional areas for dogs and cats when more targeted support is needed such as joint health, immune health, digestive health, skin health, calming and more.

The Pet Honesty point-of-purchase display at Petco stores provides pet parents with an educational shopping experience that is comparable to when they seek supplements for their own health. According to the latest Packaged Facts survey data, pet supplement purchasers are more likely to be supplement takers themselves. With 80 percent of Americans now using dietary supplements, Pet Honesty is poised to help more health-conscious pet parents across the country include their pets in a supplement routine that is specially formulated for them.

According to Pet Honesty, the brand is committed to educating pet parents about the functional benefits of its vet-recommended supplements with full transparency on its labels and all consumer touchpoints. The brand’s product pledge to pet parents is to provide a taste your pet will love and results you can trust with the most effective natural and other premium ingredients, and no artificial preservatives, colors or flavors and formulated without wheat, soy or corn.

Greenberg was named CEO earlier this year, with founder and former CEO Ben Arneberg continuing to serve as a director on the company’s board. A more than 20-year CPG executive, Greenberg most recently served as chief commercial officer of Sovos Brands, which launched its IPO in the fall of 2021. Sovos Brands includes leading brands Rao’s Homemade, Noosa Yoghurt, Birch Benders and Michael Angelo’s. Prior to Sovos, Greenberg held key leadership positions in the household products sector, initially at the Sun Products Corporation, which was acquired by Henkel Consumer Goods in 2016, where he ultimately served as general manager and chief customer officer.

In addition, Eric Dahmer was named Pet Honesty chief marketing officer in February. Dahmer has more than 20 years of experience in brand building, general management and consulting for iconic brands. He joined Pet Honesty from his previous position as vice president and head of marketing for Nature’s Way USA, where he oversaw a portfolio of wellness-focused vitamin and supplement brands. Prior to that, he spent eight years at The Kraft Heinz Company leading brands such as Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs, Ore-Ida Potatoes and Heinz Ketchup. Earlier in his career, he managed marketing for several Johnson & Johnson brands after spending five years as a consultant for Accenture.

In 2021, Pet Honesty added Greg Reinhart, PhD, to its executive team as vice president of research and development. Dr. Reinhart joined PetHonesty from General Mills, where he spent the last five years as senior vice president of research and development for the Blue Buffalo pet food brands. His previous experience spans 17 years at the Iams Company and Procter & Gamble Pet Care, including serving seven years as the vice president of strategic research and communication.
