O.T.I.S., the maker of healthy, high-quality and sustainable dog treats, supplements and oils, recently announced it has raised and donated $42,000 to three hospital facility dog programs: Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Animal-Assisted Activities Program, Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital’s Pet Assisted Therapy Services (PATS), and the Canine Assistants Service Dog Puppy Sponsorship Program.
This donation brings the cause-driven Colorado company’s total fundraising to $77,000 since its launch in April 2023.
“We are continuing our commitment to supporting facility dog programs that train these wonderful animals, and hospitals with animal-assisted therapy programs,” said company spokesperson McKenna Cox. “We’re very excited to be working with these new programs, and we can’t wait to see the impact these donations will have for children healing from trauma.”
O.T.I.S. chose to donate to the following organizations because of their alignment with the company’s mission to help children heal from trauma:
Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Animal-Assisted Activities Program offers patients, families, and staff the opportunity to interact with volunteer therapy dogs and handlers. According to the hospital, benefits include stress reduction, normalization of the hospital environment, and overall feelings of comfort and happiness.
At Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, hospital facility dogs help normalize the hospital and clinic environment, help motivate patients to meet healthcare goals, and reduce stress and anxiety during hospital admissions, procedures and clinic visits. The hospital’s Packard Paws Facility Dog Program makes about 50 visits per month, totaling more than 1,800 patient visits each year.
Canine Assistants trains hospital facility dogs from the puppy stage, and provides service dogs for people who have mobility difficulties, seizure response dogs for those who have epilepsy/seizure disorders, and diabetic alert dogs for those with Type 1 Diabetes. With full training costs of $35,000 per service dog, Canine Assistants places 75 to 100 service dogs annually.
O.T.I.S. formulates and manufactures a full line of protein-packed treats, nutritional formulas, salmon oil and pet CBD oil – all made especially for dogs. From the brand’s Jerky Treats and Trainer Treats (bison, venison, elk and salmon varieties) to its Bison Lung Filets and Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, O.T.I.S. products are all-natural and contain no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

O.T.I.S. donates one dollar of every product purchased to facility dog programs that help children heal from trauma. Within six months of its launch in April 2023, the company donated $10,000 to facility dog programs. At the one-year mark, O.T.I.S. had raised another $25,000, for a total of $35,000. O.T.I.S. chose Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Facility Dog Program in Denver as the recipient of its first-year donations. An additional $42,000 has been raised since April 2024, bringing the company’s total donations to $77,000.
