Penn-Plax Pet Products of Hauppauge has recently partnered with PRONTO of Long Island for the company’s annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. The two local businesses are working together again for the fourth year in a row to provide food and supplies to anyone in need during the holiday season.
Penn-Plax is a 60-year-old, family-owned and operated business that has been a chief innovator in pet products since starting off as a small pet shop in 1956. Inventors of household pet items, such as hamster tubes and aerating aquarium decorations, as well as pioneers of iconic licensed pet products featuring Disney, Nickelodeon, Mattel and Universal.
PRONTO was established in 1969. Located in Bayshore, New York, PRONTO’s mission is to feed the hungry, clothe the needy, welcome the stranger and provide healing and hope to everyone who walks through their doors.
