Press release: NuWave

Small appliance manufacturer NuWave, LLC, has recently donated several of its COVID-fighting OxyPure Smart Air Purifiers to five pet rescues and organizations in local communities across the United States to help keep their doors open through the pandemic.

According to the company, all kinds of businesses have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and there are still safety procedures and concerns to worry as many try to reopen their doors. NuWave’s recent donation of the OxyPure air purifier units are a step for pet rescues and organizations to better ensure the health and safety of pets, patrons and staff.

“Here at NuWave, we know the COVID-19 pandemic has been especially hard on small businesses that are so crucial to our communities. We feel it is our responsibility to help support as many local businesses as we can with a donation of our NuWave OxyPure Air Purifier,” states the company on its website.

The OxyPure recipients include:

  • Puppy Pleasers Rescue (Florida)
  • Ozzie to the Rescue (South Carolina)
  • JLC Petcare INC DBA All About Pets Animal Hospital (Kentucky)
  • 4 Paws Farm (Texas)
  • Dorothy’s Pet Shop (Kansas)

A recent independent third-party test conducted by the University of Minnesota found that OxyPure eliminated 98.24% of porcine respiratory coronavirus, a surrogate for SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 from the air on the first pass on the lowest setting. The study calculated that the OxyPure captured 99.999% of airborne coronavirus in a 1,200-square-foot room within six hours.
