MN-Based Pet Evolution Announces National Franchise Expansion

Press release: Pet Evolution

As the pet industry continues experiencing explosive growth, with 67 percent of American households owning a pet – Pet Evolution, a locally owned, healthy pet supply store dedicated to providing the highest quality products, has announced their national franchising opportunity. With the pet care industry projected to reach $275 billion in 2030, the brand has set itself apart through offering distinct services such as mobile nail trimming, full-service grooming, food delivery and state-of-the-art self-service dog wash.

“At Pet Evolution, we believe that pets are part of the family and the people who care about their pets deserve the highest quality products and services available to take care of them. We’ve standardized the concept of offering our customers top-of-line food, products, and services to ensure their pet is happy and healthy,” said Pet Evolution co-founder and CEO, Rian Thiele. “We’re excited about expanding our footprint and offering our pioneering approach to pet wellness to even more dog parents nationwide.”

Pet Evolution was founded in 2012 by friends Rian Thiele and Mike Osborn, both having watched their childhood dogs suffer through the itchy paws, chronic ear infections, and multiple vet trips of undiagnosed food allergies. Peter Carlson, president of Pet Evolution Franchising, LLC, suggested the brand begin franchising after falling in love with Pet Evolution. Once a loyal customer before joining the team, Carlson turned to Pet Evolution as his standard poodle, Leo, struggled with digestive and allergy issues, following countless tries with other products with no results. After switching to products endorsed by their team, Carlson immediately saw positive results to help his dog live a happier life.

“Pet Evolution is not only pioneering the concept of wellness-based pet supplies and services; we’re pairing it with a knowledgeable team that allows our customers to make educated decisions. I turned to their staff frustrated with no solutions, I was patiently guided to the food that would ultimately eliminate my pup’s health struggles,” said Carlson. “From that moment, I was sold. As we expand, I’m eager to demonstrate how we strive to ensure that every customer experience is an exceptional one, which is why we’ve focused on building a model that positions our franchisees for success.”

With two locations open and operating in Minnesota, the wellness-based pet brand has commitments in five expanding regions across the country, including Houston, Texas, Arizona, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Tampa, Florida since announcing their franchise opportunity in spring of 2021.

The brand has attracted franchisees with notable track records, particularly in the Arizona market, led by two women blending over 25 years of experience in the franchising and insurance industry. The duo plan on taking the Arizona market by storm, anticipating they’ll have 25 locations, ranging from Scottsdale to Tucson, in the next 10 years.

Today, Pet Evolution is actively seeking single, multi-unit, and regional development franchise partners. While they encourage those with franchise experience to apply, their approachable system is designed to accommodate first time franchisees as well. Above all else, Pet Evolution is searching for partners that have a love for animals. Including the franchise fee, the initial investment for a Pet Evolution location ranges between $450,000 to $598,550.
