Pet Partners, an organization that registers therapy animals for animal-assisted interventions, is welcoming Brian Schwartz, venture partner at Extol Capital, a growth equity firm focused on U.S.-China investments, and founder of BPS Marketing Services, a consulting firm focused on marketing, innovation and growth for brands, to its board of directors.

“Brian’s marketing experience with Fortune 500 companies can provide a lot of value to the organization,” said Annie Peters, president and CEO of Pet Partners.

Schwartz has over 10 years of experience in designing innovative digital, e-commerce, retail and omni-channnel marketing programs. Prior to joining Extol Capital and founding BPS Marketing Services, he served as vice president, Global Partner Marketing at Expedia Group where his teams were responsible for acquiring new hotel partners and promoting existing services to 435,000+ hotel partners worldwide. Schwartz also worked at Dreamworks Animation for six years, where he had various roles including head of Global Licensing Partnerships and head of Retail Marketing and Consumer Products for various international territories.

Schwartz obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University and continued his education at the London School of Economics and Political Science where he earned his master’s degree in finance.

Pet Partners is a leader in improving human health and well-being through the human-animal bond, registering nine species of animals with their human handlers as therapy animal teams. Pet Partners teams make more than 3 million visits per year in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, libraries, airports and at employee well-being events. Pet Partners also advocates for legislation that promotes human health and well-being through its grassroots advocacy program, and educates handlers and the public about the positive impact of animal-assisted interventions (AAI).
