Press release: Hounds Town USA

Wake Forest pets are in for a treat with a unique pet care experience coming to town — Hounds Town USA, the daycare and boarding concept where everything they do is for the dogs, recently announced the opening of its location in Wake Forest. Located at 222 Capcom Avenue off of S Main Street, the new Hounds Town is situated in a high-traffic retail area within the community. Owned by North Carolina sisters Jenny Lasker and Andi Bradford their mom, Lou Lasker, the new location will open for business on April 19. The upcoming location will be the first of three Hounds Towns facilities that the family plans to open in the state.

“It’s been a dream of ours to open a family business for years, so this is a monumental moment in our entrepreneurial journey,” said Jenny Lasker, who previously worked as a social worker at Levine’s Children’s Hospital in Charlotte. “Our family has a passion for dogs that was engrained in us by our late father, so our Hounds Town business honors his memory and serves a greater purpose to provide safe and reliable dog care services for local pets in our community. We’re excited to officially open and serve the Wake Forest and Raleigh communities.”

The family first began looking for franchise opportunities after Jenny became a breast cancer survivor, and they were immediately drawn to the Hounds Town brand for its close-knit culture. Searching for business opportunities that would allow them to join an established brand that offered robust corporate support structures, Hounds Town was a natural fit. The new location will serve the Wake Forest and Raleigh areas that are home to many pet owners who commute daily for work and are in need of a reliable dog daycare service while they are away.

“We’re proud to see dedicated pet lovers like Andi, Jenny and Lou open a new location and we’re honored to be a part of their path to business ownership,” said Jackie Bondanza, CEO of Hounds Town. “Their commitment to family and honoring their passions is something we feel strongly about supporting, and their excitement to join the Hounds Town brand is palpable. We look forward to continuing to work alongside them as they open additional Hounds Town locations in the future.”

Hounds Town is truly a unique pet care business, with services that include interactive dog daycare, luxury pet boarding and stress-free spa services. Supervised by a well-trained staff, dogs are able to play all-day, providing both physical and mental stimulation, with a group of dogs that match their size and temperament for safe and fun socialization — guaranteeing a Hounds Town Hangover when pets go home. Further setting itself apart, Hounds Town has a no breed discrimination policy, making it easier for all pet owners to find reliable care. For feline lovers, Hounds Town offers specially-designed, cat condos for overnight boarding as well.

Founded in 2000 by former NYPD canine handler and commanding officer of the Nassau County Police Department, Michael S. Gould, Hounds Town USA offers a unique and fun approach to doggy daycare and pet boarding. The brand emphasizes a safe and welcoming environment for all dogs, no matter their size, breed, age or disability. The fully interactive daycare facility is designed to meet each dogs’ physical, social and psychological needs through a natural pack environment. The all-day play daycare model leaves each canine companion tired and happy, resulting in what has been coined “Hounds Town hangover.” Hounds Town also offers stress-free, affordable spa services, ensuring pet parents have the option to bring home a clean and refreshed pet.
