Press release: NBCUniversal

Hill’s Pet Nutrition, a global leader in premium pet nutrition, returns as a three-time national sponsor of NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations’ annual Clear The Shelters nationwide pet adoption campaign. The month-long virtual campaign will take place throughout August with a goal to help more than 1,000 animal shelters and rescues in the U.S. and Puerto Rico find new forever homes for the pets in their care. Clear The Shelters campaign continues to grow each year, resulting in more than 410,000 pet adoptions since the program went national in 2015.

“Every summer, our Clear The Shelters campaign brings together communities around one simple mission: help shelter pets find new homes. This year, our mission remains the same as our campaign goes virtual by making it easy to adopt a pet and donate to a shelter, online,” said Bruce Kallner, Senior Vice President of Strategic Sales and Marketing, NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. “We are thrilled for Hill’s Pet Nutrition to return as a campaign national sponsor for a third consecutive year, at a time when shelters/rescues and pets need our support more than ever.”

In addition to sponsoring the campaign, Hill’s Pet Nutrition will provide adoption kits to help new pet parents and pets start off their new life together. Kits containing starter bags of Hill’s clinically proven nutrition, coupons, pet-parenting tips and other pet supplies will be available at select shelters across the country during the month of August.

“At Hill’s, our mission is to enrich and lengthen the special relationship between people and their pets.
