Global Pet Expo Named ‘Greatest Show on Earth’

The Global Pet Expo, presented by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA), has been named Greatest Show on Earth by Trade Show Executive (TSE) Magazine.

TSE has recognized Global Pet Expo for the past six years in their Gold 100 Awards. The show is now in its twelfth year.

“Global Pet Expo showcases one of the strongest industries in the world, and to be recognized by the leading publication covering all trade shows across all industries as ‘the best’ is truly an honor,” said APPA executive vice president and COO Andy Darmohraj.  “Our show is the largest annual pet products trade show in the world, and has gained the reputation as the must-attend event in the industry. This award further solidifies this, and to say we are proud is an understatement.  I truly believe we have one of the most hard-working, talented teams in the trade show industry. This award is about them as much as it is Global Pet Expo.”

The record-breaking 2015 Show featured 6,061 buyers in attendance, more than 3,000 new pet product launches, and 1,051 exhibitors. Overall attendance totaled nearly 15,500 people.

Darmohraj personally accepted the award on October 1, 2015 at the annual Trade Show Executive Awards and Summit in Santa Barbara, CA.
