Freshpet to Celebrate Take Your Pet to Work Day

June 14, 2017

In 1999, Pet Sitters International (PSI) held the first Take Your Dog to Work Day to show how much of a good experience having your four-legged best friend at work could be. Not forgetting about all other pets out there, PSI marked the week leading up to Take Your Dog to Work Day, Take Your Pet to Work Week. To celebrate, pet food maker Freshpet is holding a Take Your Pet to Work Day event on Wednesday, June 21.

The event will take place at the Soho Grand Hotel from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST in New York City and will feature a festive luncheon, where pets will be allowed to play in an outdoor dog park. Celebrity veterinarian Dr. Katy Nelson, host of “The Pet Show with Dr. Katy,” will also be there to give tips on how to keep pets happy and healthy.

In addition to Dr. Nelson, other pet experts, including Freshpet pet specialists and fitness experts, will be on hand to answer questions about how fresh food, clean air exercise and proper grooming keeps pets at their best. Shelter pets will be in attendance and available for adoption.
