Feeders Pet Supply recently announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Phydeaux Pet Shops. This acquisition accelerates Feeders Pet Supply’s growth and expansion. With the recent announcement of their new Tennessee location, North Carolina
will mark the sixth state for Feeders Pet Supply stores.

Phydeaux is a trio of independently owned pet supply stores in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Cary, North Carolina. Opened in the fall of 2002, they have been named the Triangle’s favorite pet supply stores for the past 16 years by the Independent Weekly’s annual Best of the Triangle survey.

“It’s tough to walk away from the business that I started 20 years ago,” said Frank Papa, founder of Phydeaux. “I’m proud of how it’s grown, and know that the associates and customers will be in great hands with Feeders Pet Supply.”

This marks the third major acquisition for Feeders Pet Supply as they acquired Chow Hound Pet Supplies and IncrediPet Pet Store in the last eight years. Feeders Pet Supply offers same-day local delivery, free in-store pickup, and AutoOrders set to your own schedule of nearly 10,000 items including pet food, supplies, toys, and treats. In addition to a robust loyalty program where customers can earn free pet food and points towards reward coupons.

Feeders Pet Supply began in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1959 and is recognized as a premier retailer of pet foods and pet supplies with over 55 locations. Since 1988, the company has partnered with more than 30 local pet-rescue organizations to assist with pet adoption events in-store. More than 125,000 animals and counting have been adopted through these partnerships. In addition to pet adoption, Feeders Pet Supply assists with raising money for animal charities, as well as donating pet food and cat litter to animal rescues and shelters. The company operates neighborhood stores in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina.
