Press release: Gyms For Dogs

Gyms For Dogs, a leading outfitter of intelligently designed dog exercise and agility products, recently donated play, agility and strength-conditioning equipment to Southeastern Guide Dogs through its Doggie Adventure Park grant program. Located in Palmetto, Florida, Southeastern Guide Dogs provides elite working dogs to people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities and children with significant challenges. The grant provided play and exercise equipment for the nonprofit’s Student Fitness & Recreation Center, Canine Fitness Center and Puppy Academy to help prepare the four-legged superheroes for their future handlers.

“We’ve seen time and time again that regular, meaningful exercise improves health and helps build better connections,” said John Sarver, founder of Gyms For Dogs. “We are proud to provide Southeastern Guide Dogs with our play and exercise equipment – and all the benefits that come with it. Our equipment is designed to challenge and increase the interaction and bonding experience between the dogs and their owners, so this is a perfect fit for our grant program’s goal of helping those who are doing great work.”

In a training environment, dog park and agility equipment improve the physical and mental capabilities of service dogs, so that they may lead longer, healthier lives alongside their handlers.
