DOOG Grows Through Retail Partnerships, Staff Additions

Dog owner lifestyle brand DOOG (Dog Owners Outdoor Gear) announced a series of important new retail and distribution partnerships, as well as two key hires to support its ongoing global development. According to Jamie and Jessica Knight, the company’s directors and co-founders, DOOG has signed on the following retail chains in the United States:

  • Lemos Feed & Pet Supply — Founded in 1972 by Mike Lemos, it is the largest independent feed and pet supply company on the Central Coast of California with 14 stores.
  • Pet Club — A family-owned chain based in northern California, Pet Supply Superstore chain has 11 stores in the greater San Francisco Bay area.
  • Pet Pros — Founded in 1986 in Seattle, Washington, Pet Pros has grown from one store in north Seattle to 24 stores in Washington and Oregon. It’s considered one of the largest independent pet supply retailers in the Pacific Northwest.

“These recent successes in the United States are the result of a great team effort to expand the footprint of the DOOG brand,” Jamie Knight said. “The momentum is building worldwide as well, with a new distributor in the UK, the recently launched www.dooguk.com e-commerce site and a partnership with one of Russia’s largest pet distributors to support customer demand in that region.”

In response to the continued growth, the company has added Cynthia Wood as manager of Operations and Andrew Naugher, manager of PR and Marketing, to its DOOG USA operations based in suburban Dallas, Texas. Wood has more than 20 years’ experience in successful management of warehouse operations, inventory, procurement and customer service. Naugher is an award-winning communications professional with nearly 30 years’ experience working with major PR agencies, global brands, and startups in retail, technology and life sciences.
